New Client - Several Sites
The Signmakers were chosen to undertake the signage needs for this newly formed body; new sites include Devonport, Forth, Burnie & Queenstown, the scope of works included vehicles, offices, freestanding signs & a blade sign.

Total Make-over of site
This project entailed the painting of this new site for Nubco in Mornington plus the manufacture of signage including cut out ACM lettering; this is just one of 6 sites across Tasmania completed by The Signmakers.
This site entailed a variety of works including spray painting, digital printing, vinyl lettering & routering of individual letters.

Illuminated Mobile Billboard
This unique task was manufactured recently and undertaken by The Signmakers with electronic lighting powered from batteries and charged by the car. The panels slide in and out as it doe's in a normal illuminated sign and the internal light carriage also slides out for easy servicing of the electrics.

Gasworks Re-Development; Hobart
This project was awarded to The Signmakers after careful deliberation by the owners to source a company that could undertake the vast array of internal works from illuminated L.E.D. signs to display prints and so on.
While the external signage was governed and restricted to basic signage by Sullivans Cove Waterfront Authority the inside had no such restrictions.

IGA Supermarket Re-Branding
The Signmakers was chosen mainly because of the logistics involved with a roll-out of this nature and magnitude to re-brand 94 supermarkets to the new upgraded 'IGA Everyday' and 'IGA Express' this project required in excess of 350 sheets of Aluminium Composite Panel of various sizes and once manufactured a total of 3 weeks to complete the installation process with 5 installation crews.

Keno Prize Table Roll-Out
A total of 127 TasKeno venues were recently upgraded with the change-over of the illuminated displays depicting How to Play & Prize Tables; as all the prints were layered to add vibrancy a total of 450m of clear cast vinyl was used to achieve the end result.

Tarkine Wilderness Markers
The Signmakers was awarded the contract to manufacture & install several point of entry markers for the wilderness drive throughout the Tarkine Wilderness; this entailed using recycled plastic substrates and also location prints on look-out points.

Coles Orb Removal
Coles Australia is going through an image upgrade with Programmed Maintenance Services being awarded the works australia wide, The Signmakers in conjunction with PMS have been chosen to complete the works for Tasmania which includes 15 stores statewide.

the scope of works includes the removal of the coles logo froma all the signs and in most cases replacing the signs altogether, the larger molded signs need to be centred on the backing panels once the Orb has been removed.

In one instance at Meadow Mews the backing panel is 17m x 2.8m and all needs to be replaced

BHP Billiton - Temco
This project entailed the construction of approx 200 signs in total including (4) blade signs and one in particular which needed an adjustable plasma television fitted to it.

Most of the main signage had 6mm aluminium routered letters for the logo's finished with 2pak paint, the main blade sign measured 6m x 2.4m and all the blade signs were finished with a radius front & rear.

This project took approx 8 weeks to complete amongst various other works at the same time.

Tasfresh Re-Branding
Tasfresh has been going through a major transformation over the last 12/18 months with the rebranding from Squibb's to Tasfresh, this entailed the purchase of 16 new trucks and numerous delivery vehicles plus the transformation of their premises in Spreyton and a retail outlet in the Woolworths complex in Devonport.

Recently Tasfresh has been marketing Pure Hydration which is a bottled water and The Signmakers were chosen to come up with a suitable design & gimmick for their new promotional vehicle.

SRT Re-Branding
This Project has been ongoing for the last 12 months and has entailed the stripping of approx 60 semi trailers of old signage and re-branding with a new logo including some full trailer wraps plus the site signage for the new Distribution Centre and Head Office in Devonport.
All works have been coordinated out of our Hobart Branch and as the SRT fleet continues to grow the demand for quality grows with it, there are another 6 vehicles to rebrand over the next few weeks.

B-Select Bridgestone
The Signmakers has been awarded the works to upgrade Bridgestone B-Select sites in Tasmania, this entailed the total refurbishment excluding the painting component of 3 major sites including Hobart City, Moonah & Launceston.

This work was distributed between our factory in Hobart and Devonport with Hobart fitting out 2 stores and Devonport completed the Launceston store, the works included two 8m and one 6m monolith signs.

All lettering was cut out on our 2 CNC routers.

Reece Plumbing
The Signmakers Hobart have been awarded the contract to manufacture and install new signage for three Tasmanian Reece stores.
Derwent Park Hobart, South Launceston and Devonport. We are able to complete the scope of works very cost effectively due to the fact that we have a factory at both ends of the state.
The Derwent park site has been completed on time and we are now well on our way to completing the other two sites.

David Jones Department Stores
Fairbrother won the contract to fit out a David Jones store in outer Melbourne and The Signmakers was awarded the works to manufacture 32 illuminated cosmetic bulkheads with MDF panels painted in 2pak paint with logo's intracut into the MDF with a CNC Router and 12mm flamed perspex also intracut to fit in the MDF panels with black 3mm perspex over the face of the letters.
The effect once illuminated from behind created illumination from the polished edges of the 12mm clear perspex.

Thirsty Camel Bottleshops
The Signmakers won a tender to re-brand 87 Innkeeper Bottleshops including (36) in Tasmania and (51) throughout Victoria, this project entailed all signage manufactured from Aluminium & ACM substrates with the Camel Head graphics manufactured from 10mm Perspex cut on a CNC Router with polished edges.
This project has been one of the largest undertaken by The Signmakers in such a short timeframe.

K&D Warehouse Mitre10 Cambridge
2 years fter the completion of the Hobart & Glenorchy stores The Signmakers won the tender to manufacture & install the interior & exterior signage at the new Cambridge Superstore, this process was totally new to K&D with all the exterior main signage manufactured from aluminium and CNC Router cut with 100mm return sides to create a letter 100mm thick.
A whole new concept was also created inside the store with updated images & photo's to enhance a user friendly atmosphere as opposed to just lettering.

Gunn's Mitre10 Refurbishment Cimitiere St
The Signmakers has been awarded the project to upgrade the Cimitiere Street site in Launceston which entails a full make-over from one end of the store to the other.
This project is to be done in 4 stages with stages 1 & 2 already completed and stage 3 about to commence, the works included spray painting the new Trade Centre building in the Mitre10 colors which covers almost an acre of land.

Eastside Mowers & Chainsaws (Stihl)

This is the latest of 14 sites completed by The Signmakers including 3 illuminated pylon signs. This part of an Australia wide program to upgrade all sites.

The main substrate is manufactured from metallic silver Alucobond which is scored and folded from the rear of the panel, the illuminated section of the pylon sign has had the lettering cut out with our overhead router with Casocryl perspex fitted into the cut-outs, this product while it looks black during daylight actually turns white under illumination.

Big Bargain Bottleshops

Big Bargain bottleshops has approx 45 outlets throughout Tasmania and are going through an image change. After using numerous sign companies in the past there has been no consistency with their signage.

The Signmakers have been contracted to come up with a fresh new sign image but trying to keep the same format, these works will take a couple of years to complete but the final result is a fresh look that has some consistency.
